Angel In Disguise
CHAPTER 7 ( Final Chapter)

There was a day when I was awakened by a terrible dream of Strify in the middle of the night. It was like a nightmare for me to face Strify’s last goodbye in that dream. I woke up shockingly and the word ‘Panic’ seemed to be written all over my face since I couldn’t see Strify anywhere in my room because usually he would sit on a chair near my desk watching me sleep like he was my guardian or something but he wasn’t there when I woke myself up from the nightmare.
“Strify! Strify! Where are you? Strify!” I called his name for a few times. There was no answer, just silence in my room.
“Strify! Strify!” I shouted his name panically.

“Hey babe, I’m right here, okay? Just couldn’t stop from checking myself in the mirror.” He joked.
“Why would you do that?” I said to him and started to cry.
“Babe, what’s wrong?” Strify came close to me, looking worried to have seen me cried.
“I thought you were gone, just now. I had this terrible nightmare of you, letting out your last breath.” I explained.
“It’s just a dream, Liena. Look, I’m still here aren’t I? You ca
n still see me. Now don’t cry, go back to sleep.”
I pulled my blanket and calmed myself down by lying down back on my bed.
“That’s my girl.” Strify said towards my actions and headed his way to the chair on my desk.
“Strify, can you lay down next to me?” I asked him a favor.
“But Liena, you know you can’t feel anything.”
“I know. I just need you close. I don’t wanna risk of losing you a
gain even though you’re only gonna go to the bathroom to check yourself out, Mr.Vain, please.”
Strify let out his ever so charming laugh and said, “Sure, my dear. Anything for you.” He then, climbed on my bed and lay down next to me. I faced him while he was next to me.
“I know you’re one hot soul, Strify but do you had to go in front of the mirror?”
“Babe, this is me. I’m Mr.Vain remember?”
“Well, you don’t need a mirror for I can be your mirror and to tell you the truth, I’m a very honest mirror. I can tell that you’re hot like in every second.”
“That’s awesome, babe.”
“Promise me, you won’t leave me again?”
“I promise, I won’t leave you, Liena. Forever! Starting from this m
oment, I will stick on you like a strong glue, okay?”
“Okay.”
Strify gave me his gorgeous side smile while stroking my face gently but of course, I couldn’t feel anything when our skin touches. Although my touch receptors suddenly sent some nerve impulses to my brain making me actually feel his touch at that one cold night. It was like a miracle. I leaned close to Strify so that he could put me under his arms. He wrapped his arms around me and ama
zingly, I could feel as if that someone was cuddling me while I was sleeping. It was a night to remember in my life. Miracles do happen!

The next morning, I woke up and found Strify still lying beside me. His eyes remained shut as he pretended to sleep.
“Strify, you can open your eyes now, I’m awake.”
“Oh Liena, Good Morning, Sunshine! I felt a bit tired, just now. So
I decided to rest my eyes for a sec.”
“You felt tired? That’s weird. Didn’t expect that from a flying soul..”
“Well, I’m not kidding. I still feel tired now.”
The ghostly figured Strify went blurry and then back to normal and blurred again, kept repeating over and over again, all of the sudden.
“Liena, what’s happening to me?”
“I think we need to go to the hospital, A.S.A.P!” I jumped out from my bed and went straight to change, while giving Yu a call.
“Yu, Hospital now!” I said to Yu once he answered my call with a ‘h
allo’. “Stay with me, Strify.”
“I’m dying, am I?” He asked me with his ever sad tone of voice.
I wouldn’t dare to say ‘Yes’ nor as I wouldn’t dare to say ‘No’. I just ignored him and wiped my tears off my face.
“Liena, I’m dying right?” Strify yelled at me.
“No!” I lied. “Look, we just need to go to the hospital now, okay
.”
I rushed out from the car as soon as Yu parked his car on the parking lot provided at the hospital.
“Woo..slow down, babe!”
“You don’t understand, your friend is dying, Yu!”
“Why didn’t you tell me earlier? Come on.”
We both ran as fast as we could until we entered Room 21 where Strify was located.
“Strify!” I went beside his bed and the machine showed his condition was unstable at that very moment.
“I’m gonna call the doctor!” Yu left the room, immediately to call the doctor.
“Strify, I’m right here. Don’t go, yet.” I started to cry. “Don’t make yourself fade away.” I said as my eyes were seeing the vision of the ghostly Strify started to fade.
“I can’t. Goodbye, my love. I’ll always be with you forever!”
“Don’t say that, I love you!” I gave the real Strify my kiss and gue
ss what? I felt like he kissed me back . I went static after that judging by the fact that his beautiful blue eyes were wide open. “Strify, you’re awake!?” I immediately pulled him to give my soft hug.

As I was hugging him, he softly whispered at me the three most beautiful German words that I’ve ever heard which was “Ich liebe dich.” I couldn’t understand a thing. So, I just ignored it and kept hugging him tight to show how happy was I that he finally has awaken from his long sleep. But then, after a few seconds, I felt strange because I couldn’t feel or hear any heartbeat from him.
I stopped whatever I was doing to face him eye to eye. It was too late, his eyes were shut and the machine eventually showed nothing but a straight flat line, which means Strify is dead. “Strify! Strify! Say something! Strify!” I realized that he was alive just for a few seconds to say his last words to me which made me cry out loud. He was taken away forever.

Yu, a doctor and two nurses came in, afterwards. Well, of course they simply couldn’t do anything now. Strify was gone, gone from this world. Yu grabbed me and gave me a hug as the doctor confirmed Strify’s death and saw me crying.

“Yu, he’s gone! Strify’s gone!” I sobbed.
“I know, Liena...” Yu was trying to calm me down by stroking my
back.
“He was awake for like a second ago and then he’s gone.”
“What? Really?”
“Yeah, after I kissed him, he whispered into my ears ‘Ich liebe dich’ while I was hugging him because I thought he will stay awake.”
“’Ich liebe dich’? Those are his last words to you?”
“Yeah, but I don’t know what it means, Yu.”
“Tell me, what are the words that he literally haven’t said to you before?”
“I love you.” I cried even more when I cracked the mystery behind those beautiful German words coming out from Strify’s mouth for the last time.

Days after days, weeks after weeks has passed and I finally learnt how to accept Strify’s death with the help of Yu, It was the right time, I guess, I was about to leave Berlin since dad had another job offer. As promised, Yu has been taking care of me very well since the day Strify blew out his final breath. Yu was making sure I would not kill myself for love, just to be with Strify. He did a very good job, indeed. It was so hard for me to leave Berlin because I had a memorable history there. I visited the graveyard for the last time to wish my last goodbye to my love, Strify, before I left and I didn’t have in mind when will I step my feet in Berlin again. I forced myself to let my past with Strify be one of my precious memories so that I could move on with my life. Then again, I believed Strify will always be with me wherever I go because he has clearly left a special mark, not just on my heart but on my skin too. Whenever I feel like I’m missing him, I just set my eyes on the nicely carved tattoo of ‘AS’ on my right wrist and the name Andreas Salvatore will come straight to my mind and so as his heavenly gorgeous looking face that I could never forget!

THE END

Angel In Disguise
CHAPTER 6

I kept staring at my love, Strify or should I say, Andreas who was just lying on the bed and not making any moves. That made me feel even more miserable.
“I’m sorry, Strify. I’m sorry.” I said softly to him and drown myself into tears.
“You’re forgiven.” Strify replied.
I stared back at Strify. “Did you just say something?” I asked that stupid question to the gorgeous coma boy and of course, he didn’t respond. “I swear, I heard your voice just now, Strify.” I said assuring to myself that my mind wasn’t playing tricks on me.
“That’s true.” A voice of Strify was heard from my back. I turned aroun
d and to find that ghostly figured Strify was actually standing behind me all the while.
“Strify!” I was shocked and immediately stood from the chair I was sitting on. “Is that really you? The Strify whom I met at the park, this morning?”
“Who else, dear?”
“What are you doing here?”
“I don’t wanna stay at the park until midnight, I’m too scared to be alo
ne. So, I decided to show up here, to see my body instead. Plus, you’re taking a long time to crack the truth, I couldn’t wait that much longer.”
“So, this is you, the real you? Not that one?” I pointed to the lying Strify.
“Yeah, I mean that’s just my body. The real Strify is me!” He grinned.
“You know, I can’t believe I’m actually facing a ghost right now. I should be screaming but for the sake of you, I brave myself up.”
“Hunny, don’t think of me as a ghost! Cause I’m not a ghost! I’m just a flying soul.”
“Isn’t that the same thing?”
“No. A ghost is what you’re gonna see if I’m dead. Well, a soul on the other hand, is the true me whom escape from my own body.”
“Well, whether you’re a soul or a ghost or whatsoever. You’re scaring me like hell.”
“Liena, don’t be scared. It’s just me, Strify, your lover. I thought you’d be happy to be the only one who can see me.”

“I am but people would think I’m crazy, talking to no one but a ghost!”
“You are crazy, dear. You’ve admitted that yourself.”
“Yeah, yeah. Stop haunting me, will you?”
“I can’t, I’m stuck and kinda attached to you. I simply couldn’t keep myself away from you.”
“You can’t even disappear from my sight?”

“I could but then, it means I’m dead. My body is dead. Do you want that to happen?”
Strify’s words made me do some thinking. He was right, if I couldn’t see his soul anymore, it means I’m not gonna see him forever.
“No..” I dropped a tear.
“There, there, Liena. I’m still right here with you, right? So don’t worry.”
“I’m sorry for everything, Strify.”
“You know, I would forgive you no matter how sorry you are. So, you don’t need to say that again.”
“What should I do to get you back to your body?”
“Seriously, I don’t have any clue how. If I get lucky, I will somehow
be awake again but if it turns out the other way around, you just have to accept my death. Please don’t do anything that is way beyond your mind!”
I cried even more. “Okay.”
“You promise?”
“I promise but I don’t want you to go. I love you.”
“I know, babe. Just stay by my side. That way you can make me feel like I’m alive even though I’m like half dead. Trust me, I feel so alive to be with you right now.”

Zimmer 21 was the one room that I wanted to stay in for like every single day during that summer season in Berlin ever since I knew Strify was just gonna lie there and not gonna do anything unless that twinkling blue eyes of his would be wide open again. That was the main reason I stayed everyday by Strify’s side. Meanwhile, his soul was still flying around and following me everywhere. It was not surprising of course. After a while, I wasn’t that afraid of the ghostly figured Strify anymore because I knew it was Strify. So why would I be afraid of the one whom I have a heart on? I mean he was right after all. If I couldn’t see that flying Strify anymore, it would give me a meaning that I would never want it to happen.

Angel In Disguise
CHAPTER 5

Yu brought me to the hospital with his car. I just couldn’t believe Strify was in coma because I saw him, like literally! He was at the park! Reading a book! On his usual spot!
We arrived at the hospital a few minutes later and Yu led me to Strify’s ward room. Seeing Strify lying on the hospital bed with the help from a machine to make him stay alive was a surprise to my eyes. I couldn’t say anything. Was I seeing his ghost all this while? But why? A thousand question marks filled my mind and tears started to fall down my cheeks.
“Have a seat, Liena.” Yu took a chair and placed it next to Strify’s bed.
“What happened to him?” I sobbed.
“You already knew, right? He did tell you earlier that he has a...”
“..cancer. Yeah, he told me and I thought he was lying.” I said with my saddest tone ever.
“I know, he told me all about it.”

Flashback to the scene right after Strify left my house where we had that fight. He went to the tattoo parlour to meet up Yu.
“You told her the truth?” Yu was curious to know.
“Yeah, but not all. She shooed me!”
“Oh man, that sux!”
“What’s even suckier is that my parents already knew about my lung cancer.”
“They did? How?”
“They were feeling kinda fishy about my sudden changing behaviours, so they went through my stuff and found the examination result from the hospital in my room. Mum cried the whole night while dad was gonna find a specialist to save me from this deathly thing. They didn’t go mad at me for not telling them earlier, in fact they were pretty worried.” Strify explained.
“That’s good, man.”
“No! That’s what I’m afraid of. I don’t want them to be worried sick of me. That is why it’s hard for me to tell all the people who loves me.”
“..like your mum and dad?”
“Yeah.”
“..and Liena?”
Strify sighed. “That’s right. I’m dying, Yu! I don’t want them to do something stupid once they knew that the person they love with all their heart is sick and waiting for his or her time to go.”
“..like Mr.Salvatore?”
“Yeah, just like Mr.Salvatore when he found out his wife was dying of cancer, he went crazy and committed suicide leaving Ania and their son alone. When Ania lost his husband, how do you expect she’s gonna die peacefully since her loved one has gone before her? And there was no dad left to take care of her one and only son.”
“Thank God, she had a best friend.”
“Yeah and I’m glad her best friend took a very good care of me.”
“I know. Well, look man, maybe it’s a good that they already knew it. Your adopted parents might help and gave all their support for you to fight off this thing.”
“Yu, I can’t fight it anymore. It’s too late, now.”
“Dude, why can’t you believe in miracles?”
“If my mum is still alive, then I’ll believe in miracles.
“Maybe it doesn’t happen to your mum but who knows, you’ll get the miracle. All you have to do is just believe.”
“But why can’t it happen to my mum?” Strify said while holding the “AS” pendant of his necklace.
“Seriously dude, I don’t want you to die.”
“Dude, it’s my fate! You just gotta accept it whether you like or not.”
“Well, I’ll try my best even if it’s hard..”
“This is why I love you, man. You can easily accept a God’s will. If I ever leave this world, please take care of mum and dad and especially Liena.”
“Woo...I have to say this again. You really love her, huh?”
“Yes, it’s a big YES! I don’t know why, I just think she’s different from all the other girls I’ve met. I felt so alive when I’m around her.”
“It’s the power of love.” Yu said, following with a laugh.
“And yet it’s heartbreaking to see her facing the truth about me.”
“She’s still mad at you, right now?”
“Yeah. Well, I hope she’ll get over it. I don’t want her love for me to fade away just like that.”
“Then, you need to talk to her, dude. Explain everything! I’m sure she’ll understand and no, I can tell she’s not the “Oh my one and only love is dying, I should die with him too” type of girl, trust me.”
“Maybe you’re right. Oh Liena.” Strify sighed and he started to cough again and again, non-stop while pressing his hand on his chest.
“Dude, you okay? Do you need water or something?”
“Yeah. I think I need to take my medication now.”
“Hold on.”
Strify kept on coughing until he bleed cough. He felt his chest was burning like hell. The pain that he had to suffer puts him on the ground in unconscious state. When Yu returned with a glass of water, he was shocked, indeed causing him to drop the glass and immediately bent down to his best friend while screaming his name, “Strify!!!”

~*~

“So I brought him here and the next thing you know, he’s in this condition, doesn’t wanna wake up, he’s practically half dead.”
“Oh my God! I should have listened to him when he begged at my front door..” A sense of regret was sent to Liena’s body and soul.
“It’s okay, Liena. People make mistakes! I’m sure Strify would forgive you, anyway. I mean, he loves you. His eyes won’t lie, that’s for sure.”
“Yu, do you believe if I say to you, his ghost has been haunting me ever since the very first day he was in coma.?”
“Hmm..that could be a ‘yes’.”
“He’s like stuck with me. But why me? Why not you?”
“Liena, don’t you get it? He has unfinished business with you. He was meaning to explain the truth to you but he was out of time, better yet he hasn’t really declare his love to you. So, I believe you now, if you say you saw him at the park a while ago. Don’t worry, you’re not crazy!”
“I’m not crazy but I’m the craziest girl that he’s ever met.”
“Right!”
“Strify, I’m here now..” I turned to the coma boy.
“Yeah, Liena’s here to see you.”
I held Strify’s hand in mine and suddenly the machine was showing a little progress.
“Wow, he was right. Seriously Liena, you do make him feel alive whenever you’re close to him.”
“Well, wake up, then Strify.” I shaked him softly and found out that he was wearing the necklace which the design of the pendant is alike to my tattoo. I held the pendant and stared at it for a moment.
“Do you wanna know why that symbol is so special to him?” Yu said as he saw me looking puzzled.
“Yeah, I really wanna know why..”
“It’s from his real mum. It was passed down to him before she died. That’s the only thing that he has next to being close to his mum.”
“What ‘A S’ stands for?”
“Ania Salvatore. The name of Strify’s mum. Strify once said to me, if he wears the necklace with that special symbol on, his mum will always be by his side and in his heart forever!”
“Oh, that’s sweet.”
“In your case, ‘A S’ stands for Andreas Salvatore, it is Strify’s real name, his adopted name is Strify Schule. I guess, he wants you to feel the same way that he feels when he’s wearing that special necklace to let you remember that he will always be with you wherever you go. He’s a genius, I must say. A necklace can be lost or whatever but a tattoo will always remain on your skin forever.”
“He doesn’t want to be forgotten by me, huh?”
“I told you he loves you. He has never given that meaningful and special symbol in his life to any girl except you. Yes, I have to admit Andreas was a player and a bad ass guy, last time. But he has changed ever since he found out that he was sick. He wasn’t that happy cheerful guy anymore. He started to become someone else who is a loner and only have books as his companion, until he met you. You made him feel happy again, bring the old cheerful him. You’re one of a kind to him. That’s why he was scared to tell you the truth because he thought he might lose you..”
“Strify..” His name was spoken softly by me while I was playing with his fingers.
“Can I ask you something? Who told you about the old Strify?”
“Farah, my neighbour”
“Farah, no wonder.” Yu rolled his eyes.
“You know her?”
Suddenly, a long brunette haired girl just came in the room.
“Farah?” I was shocked to see her presence.
“Farah, you come on the right time.” Yu said sarcastically.
“Oh God! What happened to Strify, baby?” Farah said as she was walking towards Yu to give him a kiss on the cheek as for a greet.
“Can’t you see for yourself?” Yu was making a ‘duh’ face.
“He’s in coma? Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” Farah was concerned.
“Well, you’re out from town to enjoy your summer with your family, so I don’t wanna bug you.” Yu explained.
“Baby, you know you’re much more important to me than my boring family.” Farah gave Yu another kiss but this time on his lips. “I’m not gonna leave you alone especially on this rough time.”
“Wait a minute! So you guys are together?” I finally realized.
“Yeah, how did you know Yu? Let me guess, Strify brought you to his sexy tattoo parlour, huh?” Farah made a guess.
“Yes.”
“Babe, you need to do some serious explanation to me!” Yu was starting to become serious.
“What’s up?” Farah asked.
“Why the hell you told Liena that Strify was just playing around with her?”
“Isn’t that just who he is?”
“He’s changed now, alright!” Yu blurted out.
“So, Strify really loves Liena.”
“Yes, and I’m not talking bullshit here.”
“Well, how the hell am I supposed to know?”
“Listen bitch, next time just shut the fuck up on everything that you know about Strify because clearly you don’t know anything about him!”
“And you know it all? Is Strify your fucking boyfriend now? Why wouldn’t I be surprised?”
“Fick dich!”
“Fick dich right back!”
“We need to talk in private.” Yu pulled Farah out from the room. “Excuse us.”
There I was, left alone with Strify in the silent room. I felt kinda dizzy hearing the vulgar language that Yu and Farah used in their conversation. “Now, I’ve already know the truth, should I see that ghost of Strify? It is kinda scary though.” I whispered to my heart.

Angel In Disguise
CHAPTER 4

I’ve stayed home for a few days, just to avoid myself from seeing the so-called Strify. But the more I thought of not picturing Strify in my mind, the more visions of Strify is what I got, appeared in front of me. I kept seeing him in my dreams and in the reality too! It was strange as if he was like a ghost or something. Maybe, my mind was playing tricks on me because I just couldn’t throw him outta my mind!

A week has passed and my imagination of Strify kept haunting me every time!
“I guess, there’s only one thing to do to let me get rid of this Strify virus. Face him at the park! Yeah, I’m gonna do that! ” I confidently said on this one particular day. So, I skipped myself to the park and found Strify with his book under his usual spot, reading attentively. I just didn’t know why I found him ever so glowing that day.He wore all white and his glowing-ness has made him look even twice gorgeous than he usually does.
“That’s great, now he’s making me feel more attracted to him.” I sighed and approached the fake bookworm fella. “I’m here, now. Can you just tell me everything? From A-Z? ”
Strify raised his chin up to have look at me. With his pale face, he softly replied, “You’re too late now. I can’t tell you the real story...”
“What? Are you kidding me?”
“You make me wait for a very long time, Liena. My tongue seems to be twisted and I just couldn’t figure out the right words to explain everything to you. ”
“Look, I apologize. Sorry, okay? ”
“Oh no, you don’t have to say you’re sorry. Do you even know what are you sorry for? ”
“Actually, I have no idea. I don’t know why, I suddenly feel bad for you. I’m just hoping everything that we shared last Thursday was real. ”
“Have you find the meaning behind that special tattoo which I gave it to you, yet?” Strify came out with a question, he wanted to change the topic, perhaps.
“It has a meaning? ”
“Everything around us carries their own meanings. ”
“Right. So, tell me the meaning then. ”
“I can’t! I want to but I can’t. I can’t even explain why you kept seeing and dreaming of me, lately. ”
“Wait, how do you know that?”
“Liena, unveiled the truth, then come back here and see me, okay?” Strify closed his book, stood up and walked away.
I was confused and felt a bit weird. “What?” I turned around to face Strify but he was no longer there. Not even his shadows.
I went back home in confusion and still amazed how Strify left the park just like in a few seconds, as fast as a lighting. And yet, he knew I keep seeing him all over the place.
“This is insane!” I thought while putting my hands on my head. I closed my eyes for a second to clear all the mess that got tangled in my mind. I stared at the tiny little ‘AS’ tattoo on my wrist while opening my eyes.
“AS? What does it means? Hmm..maybe it’s a German word.” I wondered.
Suddenly my brain popped a lighted bulb on my head. “I need to see, Yu!”

That evening, I found myself heading my way to Yu’s tattoo parlour. The bell above the door rang as I entered and Yu came forward to greet.
“Welcome, hot stuff! Can I help....” he shut his mouth as soon as he noticed it was actually me. “ Oh Liena, I was expecting you.”
“You were expecting me to come here?”
“Yeah.” His answer was short and simple.
“Look, I came here to ask you something. Your friend’s been acting pretty weird, he doesn’t want to explain to me about this..” I raised my tattooed wrist. “.. when he actually wants me to know all about it.”
“You mean, Strify?”
“Yeah, who else?”
“Liena, how should I say this..” Yu let out a big sigh and said, “Strify’s in coma. How could you possibly even talk to him?”
“What? But but I saw him at the park just now...And and we were having a conversation.”
“That’s bullshit! He’s been in coma for like a week already..I wanted to tell you earlier but I just don’t know how to contact you.”
“You’re joking, right? Right, Yu?”
“No, I’m not. If you don’t believe me, I can take you to the hospital now.”

Angel In Disguise
CHAPTER 3

Strify was beside me all the time when I had the tattoo. With his promise to blow out the pain, I think it worked. I was numb and couldn’t feel that horrifying pain that I had imagine if you get a tattoo on your skin. He practically distracted me by his charms. I didn’t have a clue by how he did it, but all that matters he managed to keep that one little promise of his. After a few hours at the tattoo parlour we’ve finally went back home by our feet. Yes our feet.
“First thing first. What does ‘AS’ means?” I asked Strify about the beautifully carved tattoo on my wrist, who was holding my hand while we were walking back home.
“All I can say that it is special. And if you have that on you forever it means you’re really special to me.” Strify explained.
“Aww, you know, you’re such a charmer, Strify.” I told him.
“Well, I know.” Strify winked.
“So tell me why are we walking again? I mean, you could just ask Yu to send us.”
“You really wanna be in a car with that dude?”
“Great point! I’ll pass!”
“Besides, walking takes a lot of time to reach home. I’d like to waste my time just to be with you.” Strify said and give a sweet and long kiss on my forehead. The way Strify kissed me was just mesmerizing . I never felt someone who actually cares so much about me and moreover loves me like he wouldn’t let anyone to love me.
He was certainly not like all the common guys who lies to you just to get your attention and make you go googoo-gaagaa all over them. So that they could make out or even make love to you. And dump you on the very next day.And they thought it was fun to play like that, well love is not a game.
“Here we are, home sweet home. Are you sure your mum wouldn’t be furious at you?” Strify said as we passed the front yard and stopped at my front door.
“Well, if she is, then I’m gonna put all the blame on you.”
“Sure, you can do that. I don’t mind.”
“Nah, she’s not. I called her just now and she’s not at home. I guess this is my lucky day.”
“Make that luckiest! Aren’t you lucky enough to spend your day with me?”
“Yeah, I had an awesome time. Thanks!”
“Oh, no. I should be thankful to you. I’ve never been this much ecstatic before ever since .... Oh nevermind. Just thank you, Liena or should I say Vielen Dank.”
“Bitte schon!”
“So you speak German now? Nice!”
“A little bit.”
“We’ll meet up again at the park tomorrow?”
“I’d love to!”
Strify leaned close and kissed me goodbye. He walked down the pavement and disappeared in the dark while I was smiling big behind the door as I shut it.
“I can’t wait to meet him tomorrow!”

The next day I was supposed to arrive early at the park to meet up Strify but something has got into me at that time. Some judgements of Strify made by my neighbour Farah, my age whom I’ve just met during breakfast. Mum decided to get along with the neighbours, how was that surprising? I told Farah I only knew a guy named Strify in the neighbourhood, not anyone else. As soon as she heard the name Strify, she asked me to stop seeing him and told some nasty details that I should know sooner before I got caught up in Strify’s web.
“OH MY GOD. STRIFY? The blonde streaks hottie, Strify? Girl, you should stay away from him!”
“But, Why?”
“Because, he’s a lying ass jerk! His real name is not even Strify!”
“Really? Then what is his real name then?”
“Idk! The thing is , he’s a womanizer and a bad ass punk! He made some random pretty girls fall in love with him just so that he could have the pleasure to kiss and make love with them.”
“O-kay, why didn’t I meet you earlier , Farah?”
“Oh god! Don’t tell me you’ve done it with him already?”
“No no.”
“Phew! Lucky I’m here to save you.”
“Yeah, so tell me what happens after he successfully had all of those pleasures?”
“He’ll dump you. Move on to another target! But it’s weird to see him back in action. Because he’s been quiet all this while.”
I didn’t know what to do. Should I meet up Strify to ask him about the truth? Or should i just stay home and ignore the fact that a prince charming is waiting for me at the park?
I was in confusion. I just couldn’t accept every teeny bits about Strify that Farah just told me. I trusted all his words yesterday. I know they were all real, I could feel it by just looking into his eyes. Come to think of it, my new neighbour did have some points.
I mean if Strify is not like what Farah has described, he wouldn’t be friends with some punk guy who owns a tattoo parlour and he wouldn’t be pro at archery, ice-skating, arcade games and all the fun activities that they have in the mall.
Since I thought his only fun activity is reading. Somehow, it all makes sense, now. I was clearly blinded by his charms.
“He’s a jerk! How could I be so stupid to fall in his trap? ” I was angry with myself and without even thinking more about how idiotic I was yesterday, to fall in love with a stranger. I’ve only known him for like 2 days and I simply let him treated me a tattoo which made my parents went ballistic at me for having it, even if it’s just a tiny one, a very tiny little special present from Strify or whatsoever his name is.

I left home and went straight to the park to face that two-sided jackass! I saw Strify was sitting under the tree and he immediately stood up as if he was longing to see me, as soon as I arrived. But somehow, my anger seems to fly away when our eyes met.
“Babe, I gotta ask you something.” Strify was being serious.
“What is it?” I wondered.
“Do you love me?” Strify asked while gazing his eyes into mine. I was lost in his daze.
I searched deep inside of me. I do have these strange yet special feeling towards him. “Why does my heart beats ever so fast whenever I meet him? Why do I feel everything around us disappears every time we kiss? Why do I have these butterflies in my stomach which makes me feel like I’m a few inches above the ground whenever he’s close to me? ” These questions were raining in my mind.
“I am in love with him, that’s like so obvious by calculating those signs. ” I whispered to myself.
“Liena, do you love me? ” Strify repeated his unanswered question.
“Yes! I love you, Strify! ” I finally confessed my feelings for him. “ I heard some nasty things about you but I knew it wasn’t true at all! Because deep down inside you’re nice and an honest guy and yet I’m in love with you. I couldn’t stop thinking about you! I’m like madly, deeply and truly in love with you! ” I solemnly said and I saw one drop of tear fell from Strify’s dazzling blue eyes.
“Then, we should not see each other, again!” He said in a very low tone of his and looked down. My jaw dropped. I expect that he would say those 3 words back but he didn’t! What a shame!
“Why?” I said with my annoyed tone.
“We just can’t! ”
“But why?”
“You can’t be in love with me, okay!” Strify let out his high voice.
“So, it’s true then! I am soooooooooooooooooo stupid! ”
“What? Look babe, it’s for your own good. ”
“You jackass liar! ” I slapped him on the face.
“What the hell? Care to explain what was that for? ”
“You’re the one who should explain it all to me, Strify! Or is that even your real name? ”
“Hold on, how did you know that? ”
“Oh, I know it all about you and your stupid tricks to make girls fall in love with you so that you can have all the pleasures that you desire to have. ”
“Oh! ” That is all he could say.
“And then, you dump every single one of them once you hunger for a new victim! Nice, I’d like that. I guess, you’ve just did that to me! Assholes! Thank God, I didn’t sleep with you! ”
“Wait, Liena. That’s not me! Well, I used to be like that but not anymore! ”
“Yeah, right. We were all over each other yesterday, Strify and now you ask me to stay away from you when you found out that I’ve fallen for you? What was that all about huh? ”
“Look, I have a reason.”
“Yeah, because you’re a womanizer! Nice reason! ”
“Not because of that! That could be my reason back then but not now..”
“Then, tell me your real reason. ”
“I can’t! Because you love me. ”
“And I can see that you don’t! That’s okay. I can still live on without you. I’ll take that love part, back. Who needs a guy like you, anyway? ” I took one last stare at a guy whom I’ve just love and whose name was not even Strify and walked away.
“Wait, Liena! Come back! Liena... ” Strify sighed.

I felt my heart was broken to pieces even though I was relieved to let out all of my anger to that jerk. “ I hate you, Strify! ” I said to my heart but my heart refused to accept those words because I have to admit that actually, I love him so much! And that’s one of the reasons why I cried my way back home.
Little did I know, Strify was following me from the back. As I was about to shut my front door, Strify stopped me.
“Liena, look...okay, I’m guilty! I did lie to you about a few stuff but it’s hard for me to explain knowing that you actually loves me and to tell you the truth, I can’t seem to get you outta my head, too because I lo....”
“Cut the crap and just tell me the truth! ” I snapped at him before he could even finished his line.
“Well, I have cancer! And I’m dying...”
“Hah! Should I believe that? You’re such a great actor! But the show is over! I’m not gonna buy that lie of yours! ”
“I’m not lying! ”
“Strify or whatever your name is..from now on, I don’t ever wanna see your face again! ” I yelled and shut my front door right on his face. I couldn’t stop myself from crying behind the door.
“Liena, I’m not lying. Look into my eyes then, you’ll know whether I’m lying or not. Liena, open this door, please. Please Liena. Please believe me. ”
“GO AWAY! ”
“Sigh. If that’s what you want, I’ll leave you for now. Maybe we should talk about this on some other time, when you’re cooled down. You know where to find me..” He finally gave up and left my house with a sense of depression.
I forced myself not to cry that night but my eyes just couldn’t let me hold back the tears.

Angel In Disguise
CHAPTER 2

We rode the bus until it reached a nearby mall.
“We’re gonna have fun here?” Strify raised one of his eyebrows.
“Yeah, why not? I can smell the fun atmosphere already!”
“But it’s just a mall, a shopping mall!”
“So? Wait, do you even go to this mall before?”
“Nope!” He said as his eyes were eyeing around.
“I can’t believe it!”
“I mean it’s new and I hardly have time to go.”
“Well busy guy, how about we explore and crack the fun out this new mall now?”
“Sure, while I’m still alive!”
“Trust me, you’ll never regret if you’re going out with Liena Ross!”
“Alright, I’ll give you my trust. Now what are we waiting for? Let’s get inside, shall we?” Strify held my hand and brought me into the mall.

We strolled all over the mall from the lower ground to the upper highest level. We went from shops to shops, trying on some clothes, playing arcade games, watching movies, eating fast food, went bowling and did other fun stuff we could find in the mall. While we were ice-skating, let’s just say I was being kinda crazy like I always do. Well, that’s me, what do you expect? The strange thing is, I’ve never shown the real me to a particular guy before. Well hello, embarrassed much? But at that moment, I couldn’t figure out why was I being all out to Strify, a guy whom I’ve just met a few days ago. I barely even know him and yet I was too comfortable with his presence.

The more time I’ve spent with Strify, the more comfortable I was around him. Maybe that was the reason why I pushed the inner and true side of me to appear. He surely was the only guy whom managed to dig deep inside of me without making any efforts. He did nothing because I realized that I was the one whom naturally let him sees right through me.
“ It’s Summer and yet we’re ice-skating! Wheeee~! “ I was playing on the ice rink with Strify while proving to him that I wasn’t a ‘bimbo on skates who needs a guy to hold you every second just to make sure you won’t fall’ type of girl.
“You know, Liena, you’re insane!” Strify said.
“Insanely fun! Well I told you so!” I reminded him and gave Strify a wink.
“Oh no, I said insane, that fun word is not included, not counted!”
“Look, I prefer the word crazy, the ‘crazy Liena’ don’t you think it sounds way better than the ‘insanely Liena’?”
“Okay, fine. You’re crazy then!”
“Thank you, I really appreciate that. Crazy is my middle name, that’s not a surprise.”
“You’re different from all the other girls, I hung out with. They always tend to stay cool and trying to not be crazy like you in front of me. They pretended to be somebody else, not their true self, unlike you, you’re just open and being yourself all the time right? And I like that.”
“Well, actually I don’t usually act as myself , the true me, when I’m around a guy whom I’ve just met. But somehow, I don’t know why, I just feel so comfortable when I got to know you little by little.”
Strify stared at me for a moment and then he laughed. “Liena, you’re the craziest girl that I have ever met, no kidding!”
“Hey, I am crazy but I can’t be called as the craziest , Okay?”
“What do you mean, you can’t? I just called you one.”
“Oh, Yeah?” I skated towards Strify, smiled at him and messed up his hair with my two bare hands. “Who’s the crazy looking one now, huh?” I said while giving him an evil smirk.
“You did not just touch my hair!” Strify warned.
“Oops, I guess I just did!” I sticked a tongue out at Strify and skated myself away.
“Well, you’re in trouble now, Liena! “ Strify said and he started chasing after me.
“Should I run or hide? There’s no place to hide, so I better run! Catch me if you can, Strify!” I ran on the ice as soon as I noticed he was about to chase me.

The next thing you know, we were playing tag on the ice like a bunch of kiddies.
“No matter how far you run, Liena. I’ll still managed to catch you, you can’t skate your way outta this rink!” Strify said.
“Whatever, you’re still not gonna catch me!” I replied.
“Will soon! Right now, I need a take 5.” Strify let out a deep breath and stopped at the edge of the ice-skating rink.
“Oh no, hunny, are you tired? Given up already?” I came towards him and teased.
“I’ll never give up on you.” He said and smiled.
“Oh, yeah? Get back to the game then. And this time make sure you really catch me.”
“You better run now, babe!” Strify spread his arms wide and tried to grab me. I’ve managed to get a few inches away from him. Although, he skated ever so fast and finally he caught me in the middle of the ice rink.
“Gotcha now!” Strify smiled as he slides his arms around my waist from behind.
We just froze at the spot which was in the middle of the ice rink. I could feel Strify’s heartbeat was pounding so fast like it has no end. Suddenly, everything around us seems to have disappeared and I didn’t feel the coldness surrounds us no more.

Strify was ever so close to me so I felt warm around him. We just stood still and kept our balances on the slippery ice. And then, Strify gently took a few strands of my hair and put it behind my ears. He slowly whispered with his ghostly voice, “I told you, I’ll never give up on you, Liena.” I stared at this gorgeous guy and couldn’t say a word. I felt his warm breath has clearly moved from my ear to my lips. As Strify was about to put his luscious lips on mine, I’ve lost my balance and fell on the hard cold ice. The fall made me realize that I was still at the stupid ice-skating rink where there were actually a few people skating here and there. And then everything started to disappear again when Strify stared at the unfortunate me who was still sitting on my butt on the ice ground. He just stared deeply into my eyes. I was amazed by his ever so dazzling ocean-like blue eyes which kept me staring back at him as if I was hypnotized until I felt my butt was freaking wet and cold.
“Err.. Strify, my butt is gonna be frozen if you just stand there and refuse to help me up.” I grinned.
“Can I tell you this?” Strify said while pulling me up.
“What?” I asked.
“You totally ruined the moment.” Strify sighed.
“Oh Strify, you can really read my mind.” I leaned close to reach Strify’s lips. And before I could reach it, Strify was already on his way to reach mine. We kissed passionately in the middle of the ice rink while ignoring the crowd around us. From that moment, I had fallen in love with a guy named Strify.

After that long remarkable breathless kiss, we couldn’t stop being lovey dovey to each other. It was weird because even though we’ve just met, well I felt like we’ve been together for ages! The way we acted that day was like a pair of two lovebirds who has been attached to each other for a few years. I was in Strify’s arms all day and we kept kissing each other non-stop. It was like an addiction to us. I like the gentle, sweet and ‘not trying too hard and desperate ‘ type of kisses, that Strify gave to me. A cupid’s arrow has struck both of our hearts, that was for sure. Before we knew it, it was dusk already. Time flies so fast when you’re with a person that you’d like to spend all of your time with.
“Strify, I think I have to head home now. My mum will be worried sick if she doesn’t see me coming home before 8.”
“Sure, Liena. But can we go to one more shop for a last stop?”
I looked at my watch and said, “Well, I could spare minutes for that. I’m sure mum wouldn’t be that mad. So where to?”
“It’s not here sweetie.”
“What? Then where is it?”

We took a bus again to head this secret place that Strify was going to take me to.
Our pit stop was kinda near to our neighbourhood, it was a block of shop houses. Strify dragged me to one of those shops which was a tattoo parlour.
“Oh, Hun, why are we here?” I asked him curiously and wondered why on earth would Strify bring me to a tattoo parlour. Maybe he wanted to get a tattoo, but why now?
“You’ll see.” Strify gave a soft peck on my cheek and smirked.
By judging that smirk that he gave me, I could tell what he was actually thinking.
“Oh, No. You want me to get a tattoo, isn’t it?”
“You’ve guessed it right, babe!” Strify winked.
“But...” Before I could finish my line, a young dark headed with pale porcelain skin shirtless guy showing off his phoenix tattoo on his right chest greeted Strify with a handshake.
“What’s up, Man? It’s been a long time since I’ve heard from you!” That tattooed piercing lad said.
“Haha, well, I’ve been busy.” Strify replied.
“Busy with girls ey? I can see that!”
I could see that tattooed guy was eyeing me from head to toe and gave Strify an approved look. My cheeks turned pink immediately.
“Hot...” He nodded a little.
“Dude, do you mind?” Strify snapped, as he noticed I was clearly turning from pink to bright red.
“You’ve always been like this, I just can’t take one good look at your girlfriend huh? You have a really nice taste this time. I mean, she’s exotic, not a typical German I suppose?”
Strify just ignored whatever that guy said.
“Liena, this is Yu, my friend. And you can ignore everything that he’ve just said.”
“Err..Yu?”
“Yes! Y-U, YU! That’s not so hard, Liena.”
“Right, nice meeting you, Yu.”
“Right back at ya! So what brings you here at my tattoo parlour, dude? You want a tattoo? I can sketch you one hot damn naked......”
“Dude! Shut the fuck up man! Have a little respect for her.”
“Okay okay, My bad. So tell me, what’s the deal then? What kind of tattoo do you want? And where will it be located ey?” Yu raised both of his eyebrows at me.
“What the fuck? Mind him, Liena. He can be a jackass at times! Dude, knock it off already!”
“Trust me girl, he used to be just like me , once upon a time ago...”
“Oh!” That was all I’ve managed to say since I was kinda startled to face the conversation that Strify and his friend Yu had. It was full of dirty words just like all the typical bad boys would have said.
Yu continued with his line, “..until he found out....”
“Until I found out, he’s a bad influence to me. The End! Look, dude, do you want to have us as your customers or do you want to continue talking shit?”
“Customer would be nice, I’m sick of talking shit with you.” Yu grinned. “So tell me the details. What..”
“Don’t start it again, dude. Or I’ll kick your ass right now!”
“Oh, how I’ve missed that. You’ve never kicked my ass ever since...”
“Dude!”
“Okay okay, let’s make a tattoo now!” Yu pulled Strify but he wouldn’t move.
“She’s getting a tattoo, not me!” Strify pointed at me.
“Really?” Yu said with an excitement on his face.
“Look, actually I don’t want to, Strify. Plus, if my parents found out, they would kill me for good!”
“They won’t kill you, babe.”
“But, Strify....”
“Please, Liena. Do it for me. I want you to remember the day that you’re getting your first tattoo is the day that you’ve made me happy. You’ve done it. You’ve showed me the true meaning of happy, Liena . You are the meaning of my happiness, I got it from you.” Strify said as he was stroking my face gently.
“So what do you say? Are you willing to have this special gift from me?”
“A special gift? From you?”
“Yes. I’ll ask this scary obnoxious friend of mine to draw a design based on my description just for you. So are you up for it, babe?”
“Well, since it is sort of like a gift from you, then I have to say yeah. I am totally up for it.”
“Thanks, babe.” Strify smiled gorgeously and gave a kiss on my forehead.
“Just make sure, it’s not big.”
“You got my word.”
“Alright, so where do you want this tattoo to be laid?” Yu asked.
“First of all, does it hurt badly?” Liena questioned Yu.
“Hmm..depends on where you want it. If the chosen place is too sensitive to heat then I guess I’ll have to do it gently so that it won’t hurt you so badly. Don’t worry, I like to take things slow and steady with a girl like you.” Yu gave me his flirtatious winked.
“I swear I feel like I just want to tattoo your eyes, you bastard!” Strify said with his angry tone.
“Hey hey, I’m joking!” Yu chuckled.
“He’s an asshole. Don’t listen to every word he’s saying, babe.”
“Right, well can I have the tattoo over here then?” I said while showing a spot right below my palm of hand, the very beginning of my wrist.
“You do know, your life depends on the veins underneath that spot, right?” Yu said.
“I know, that’s why I want it here. Why not risk something for the ones you love?” I explained.
“Heard that, man. You’re lucky she loves you.” Yu patted Strify’s back.
“That’s what I’m afraid of.” Strify said in a low tone.
“What’s that, man?”
“Yeah, I’m lucky, so damn lucky!” Strify gave me another kiss, this time it was on my lips.
“Smooches time is over! Come on, we ain’t gonna lose our time here. It’s getting dark and you know how I hate getting back in the dark.”
“Did I mention to you that he’s a scardy cat?” Strify said after he stopped kissing me.
“Haha, nope! You didn’t!” I giggled.
“Well, now you know.” Strify smiled handsomely.
“Ya-da ya-da ya-da. Now design please?” Yu went to the counter and took out a notepad.
“One sec!” Strify excuses himself and talked to you Yu privately. I just sat on the chair waited patiently for the two of them.
“I want you to do a tattoo with the exact design like this.” Strify unchained one of his necklaces and showed Yu a design carved on the pendant of that necklace
“Yo, dude. Are you being serious?”
“What? It’s not so hard to copy off this simple design right?”
“No, I mean this symbol is very meaningful to you and you want me to do a tattoo of that symbol on her?”
“Yeah, that’s what I said.”
“Let me guess, you’re joking right?”
“Do I look like I’m joking about it?”
“Okay okay, I mean this is so not you. You’ve never ever brought a girl to my tattoo parlour and ask me to draw a tattoo with the design of your special symbol before other than using this place to get laid.”
“Well, you can cut the word never now.”
“ It’s so weird!”
“Just do as I say, Yu! I think I know why am I doing this.” Strify said as he stared at me and smiled.
“You love her, don’t you?”
“Dude, I think she’s the one. She brought the old newly improved me back. And she made me happy again. She gave me strength that makes me feel so alive whenever I’m around her.”
“That’s great, man. Does she know about it?”
“No. Don’t mention it to her.”
“Why not?”
“I love Liena, okay. I’m just not ready to tell all my loved ones about it.”
“But you told me, it means you don’t love me.”
“Dude, I love you okay! You’re my best friend.”
“If you can tell me, then why can’t you tell the others?”
“It’s just different, alright. But with Liena by my side, she makes me feel so strong not weak.” Strify put a big smile on his face.
“Oh man, what kind of spell she put you on? Seriously,I haven’t seen you smile like that for ages. You’re right, she does bring my old Strify back.”
“Guys, what’s taking you so long?” I finally spoke.
“Opps, Liena. We’re very sorry. Almost forgot that you’re here.” Yu joked.
“Right, very funny, Yu!”
“Now, let the work begin!” Yu was getting ready to show off his skills on carving a tattoo.
“Okay, now I’m scared it might hurt.”
“Don’t worry babe, I promise I’ll be right here next to you to blow out all the pain.” Strify took a seat beside me and held my hand.

Angel In Disguise (chp.1)

Angel In Disguise

CHAPTER 1

The thing about dad that I hate the most is that he always moves from one city to another and had to drag me and mum along, due to the job offers that he received. I hate being the new girl in town. I hate meeting new people. I hate that I had to change my room every now and then. I hate everything that has to do with moving. Although, I have to admit I kinda like when we moved to Berlin, Germany last year. It all boils down to the fact that I had fallen for an angel without even knowing it during my 6 months stay in this one particular town in Berlin. Can you believe it? An angel. Yes, an angel! Well, sorta like an angel. To me, he’s an angel indeed.

My love story began during summer last year, where my dad brought my mum and I to our new house.
“Here we are, home sweet home!” Dad said while pulling off the car in front of the house.
“Yeah, yeah, like how many times you’ve said that already?” I rolled my eyes.
“I think this will be the tenth time, dear.” Mum said.
“Oh come on, let’s just hope this will be our last move. No more after this, okay?” Dad grinned.
“Yeah, dad. Keep on saying that, we’ll be moving again for sure!” I said sarcastically and went out from the car.
“Oh Liena, don’t worry. I bet you’re going to love Berlin.” Dad assured me.
“I hope and thank God, it’s summer! So, I don’t have to go to school. Yay!” I tried to put a smile on my face.
“Now, that’s what I want. A smile from you.”
“Dad, it’s a fake smile!”
Berlin was quite boring at first. I got nothing to do even though it was summer at that time. Well duh! I did not have any friends to hang out with, of course that was the reason being.

One day, I decided to spend my reading time outside at the park nearby. I sat under this one big shady tree just to cover myself from the sunlight. “I am too tanned to be under the Sun!” I said to myself. After reading a few pages of my novel, I took a break and tried to enjoy the windy weather on this particular summer’s day at the park. And then, that’s when I saw something glowing and glaring from far. And strangely it was coming towards the tree that I was leaning to.
That glowing shadow was getting nearer and I could see it has a shape of a human. At first, I thought it was a girl but then when it got closer, it was actually a heavenly gorgeous looking guy that my eyes have ever seen.

As he walked, the wind blew his soft and smooth black hair with a unique blonde streaks at front. His skin was so fair and his eyes were shining even from far. And guess what? He got a book on his hand. “He must be looking for a spot to read.” I said to my heart. He just stared at me while he was walking pass by and gave me an irresistible smile which I could never take off from my mind. “I never knew German guys are hot like that!” Again I said to myself. After that 5 minutes of interruption, I decided to get back on my book. Suddenly, that gorgeous German hottie walked pass by me again but this time he has found a place to be seated which was under an opposite tree of mine.

“Great. Now, he’s clearly gonna make me lose my concentration on reading this book.” I read a few lines and stopped just to stare at him. He was reading peacefully and turned the page ever so gently and polite. He caught my eyes, somehow and just gave me another of his precious smiles. I wanted to stay long at the park but it was getting dark already and I wouldn’t want my mum to get worried. So, I decided to go back home, leaving that German hottie alone in the park. I’ve noticed something rare about that particular hottie. He was surely not like all the typical guys I knew. He was the quiet and shy type of guy. I stepped out from the park and suddenly, a deep stunning voice of a guy was heard.
“Hey you..you there..” That gorgeous guy was calling for me.
“Me? You’re calling me?” I asked.
“ Yeah, you drop this just now.” He said as he handed me a piece of rectangular card with ribbon tied at the top end.
“Oh, my bookmark. Why, thank you.”
“ No problem.” He grinned. “So, you’re new here?” He was being curious.
“Yeap! And you?” I asked him back.
“Oh no, I’m kinda old, very old here.” He showed his ever so charming laughter. “Anyway, I’m Strify and you are...”
“Liena.”
“Liena, nice meeting ya. I guess I’ll see you again, eh? Maybe tomorrow?” Strify winked at me.
“Yeah, I guess so.” My cheeks went pink as soon as he gave me that flirty wink.
Okay, I misjudged him. He was so not the quiet and shy type of guy. He was more of a flirtatious hottie. How nice is that, huh?

The next day, I’ve made up my mind to head to that park again and I was hoping I could meet up with Strify, once more. I walked gracefully to the park, feeling that my summer in Berlin wouldn’t be darn boring after all. Tell me, who wouldn’t be ecstatic if you met a hottie and he said he would like to see you again. I was on cloud nine. I arrived at my reading spot and found Strify there. He was sitting on my spot.
“Hey you, that’s my spot!” I said.
Strify raised his chin up, stared at me with his twinkling eyes and said, “Well sweetie, it doesn’t have your name written on it. So, basically anyone can have this spot. And besides this is my spot right before you came yesterday.”
I was bedazzled by his glare and not knowing what else to say, I just replied, “You’re right and sorry. I’ll find somewhere else to sit then.” And I smiled sweetly at him while my heart was beating ever so fast. When I was about to take one step behind, Strify grabbed my arm with his smooth fair skin hand. I froze at the spot.
“Don’t go. You can sit here with me, if you like.” Those lines came out from his mouth left me breathless.
He actually wanted me to accompany him? Wow, a hot guy like Strify asked me a favour like that? I couldn’t catch a breath nor as I could say a word.
“Yes? No?” He showed his adorable yet curious face.
“Yeah, sure.” I answered him without hesitated and sat right next to him under the big shady tree.
“So, what book did you bring for today, Liena?” Strify asked.
“Same like yesterday.” I simply answered him.
“Twilight? Cool.” He looked at my book for a few seconds and then went back to his book.

We didn’t say a word after that. It was silence all the way. To tell you the truth, I am actually a chatterbox but it was weird because when I was with Strify at that time, I got tongue-tied. Strify was paying all his attention to his book. So, I wouldn’t dare to disturb him. I felt bored, obviously. I thought Strify was a fun guy to hang out with but turns out, he was a nerdy who got stuck in a hot guy’s body.
“Why is he so quiet?” That thought is killing me. I tried to ignore that fact. “Oh come on, at least he have said something to you. Better than nothing.” I whispered to my heart and forced myself to enjoy every one bit of the scene. “It’s not like that often, I got a chance to sit beside a hottie under a tree to have a quality reading time together.” I convinced myself not feel bored at that moment.
“Sorry if I make you feel bored or something..” Strify realized that I was showing my boring face expression, not in purpose.
“Oh no no no, it’s okay. Wait, what makes you say that?” I replied.
“I get that a lot from girls. They usually hang out with me just because I’m good looking not by judging on my personality.” Strify said while he was still eyeing on his book.
I felt like I was hit by a lorry. “I can’t be like one of those girls, can’t I? I need to say something wise to make him think that I am not like those girls even though I am, for like a second ago.”
“Look maybe you should improve your personality.” I finally managed to arrange a sentence.
“What do you mean?”
“I’m guessing you like to read a lot?”
“Yeap, it’s my hobby.”
“Well, I’ve noticed something. You know, when you read, you don’t pay attention on what’s happening around you. So, whenever there’s a girl hanging out with you while you read, obviously they’ll get easily bored of you.”
“Hmm..I see.”
“How about you find another interesting hobby else than reading?”
“Should I?”
“Yeah, if you wanna make girls attracted to you more.”
“Hmm...I don’t think I need a girlfriend at the moment. So, I’ll pass.”
“Suit yourself.”
“We’ll continue reading, okay?” Strify just smiled.
“If you say so.”
Strify and I continued with our books until dusk. “We’ll do this again, tomorrow Liena?”
“Maybe. See you Strify.” I left the park and noted to myself, “I so need to change this gorgeous hottie to actually become a hottie not a boring bookworm.”

On the following day, I came a bit late. When I arrived at the park, like it was so obvious Strify was already there, sitting calmly under his favourite big shady tree while he was enjoying himself, reading a new book. I approached him and I never thought he would notice my arrival since he was clearly glued to his book, not eyeing anywhere else other than the book on his hand.
“You’re a bit late, today.” He said before I could even greet him a ‘hello’.
“How come you know I’m here? You were all over the book, just now.”
“My dear, I have eyes to look and I have ears to hear, right?” He briefly explained.
“Oh yeah.” I didn’t know what else to say. Oh God! It means he wasn’t paying all of his attention when it comes to reading. It was only the eyes.
“So, don’t blame me if you’re feeling kinda bored when I’m reading.”
“You do pay attention to the surroundings while you read!”
“Yeap!” Strify smiled.
“Then, maybe those girls who hung out with you got bored easily because they didn’t like to read.”
“Yeah, I bet they like to read my face more than they like to read a book.”
“Well, duh!” I said and Strify just gave a stare at me. “I mean, who wouldn’t? You’re gorgeous!” Those words seemed to have split out from my mouth.
“Oh my god, did I just say that out loud?” I panicked.
“Haha, you did! And thanks for saying I’m gorgeous!” Strify winked at me.
“Stop with the winking already!”
“Why not?” Strify winked even more.
“It’s deadly, I hardly can look!” I covered my eyes with both hands.
“You’re funny, Liena. Anyways, Where’s your book? Aren’t you gonna read with me today?”
“Nope! I decided to steal you away from this spot!”
“What?” Strify said curiously.
“Come on, get up!” I pulled Strify’s hand and forced him to get up. “I’m gonna show you the meaning of fun today!”
